Peggy R. (Nicholson) Callis

Peggy R. (Nicholson) Callis, 82, of Evansville, IN, passed away Monday, September 8, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Callis was a homemaker, bookkeeper and had worked at Indiana Bell Telephone. She was a 1944 graduate of Reitz High School and a member of Bluegrass United Methodist Church, Darmstadt Social Club and Wednesday Culture Club of Evansville. She is a past president of UMW Club at Bluegrass United Methodist Church.

Robert Gilbert Reid

Robert Gilbert Reid, 85, of Lombard, IL, passed away May 18, 2011. He was born February 27, 1926 in Augusta Co., Virginia and was the son of the late David and Edna Pearl (Carwell) Reid. He was preceded in death by his wife, Winifred Ann (Sampey) Reid, and a brother, Albert James Reid. Robert served in WWII in the Marines and fought in the Pacific Theater.

Ruby B. McCutchan

Ruby B. McCutchan, 93, of Evansville, Indiana died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Good Samaritan Home. She was a member of Blue Grass United Methodist Church and enjoyed quilting and playing cards. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1989, and her sister, Opal Shouse.

Ruth Lee McMasters, 92, of Duncan, passed from this life Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at Country Club Care Center in Duncan.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tracy L. Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Ruth McCutchen Price

Ruth McCutchen Price, 79, of Madison died Saturday. The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Christ Church of Monrovia with Rev. Bob Phelps and Rev. Wendell Trotter officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro at 12:30 p.m.

Mrs. Price was an active member of the Christ Church of Monrovia and of the Women's Ministry of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Grace Circle where she recently received a Perpetual Patron Membership. She was also a member of the Senior Adult's Group at the Church. She was retired from the Civil Service at Redstone Arsenal.

Sarah Frances Suter

Sarah Frances Suter, 95, formerly of Rose Hill Circle, Staunton, VA, died Friday morning, March 6, 2009 at Sunnyside Retirement Community in Harrisonburg, VA. She was born August 30, 1913 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late William Bailey Anderson and Maude Lillian (Carwell) Anderson. She graduated from Beverly Manor High School in 1933, and worked as Junior Interviewer for the Virginia State Employment Office in Staunton for eight years.

Thomas "Pete" McCutcheon

HARTSELLE -- Military funeral for Thomas "Pete" McCutcheon, 69, of Hartselle will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with Lindsey Herndon and Bob Csikos officiating.

Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. McCutcheon died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born May 23, 1930, in Morgan County to Sam Jones and Gladys Elizabeth Higdon McCutcheon.

Thomas B. McCutchan

Thomas B. McCutchan, 81, passed peacefully away early Feb. 10, 2010 morning at his home in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. He was the son of Blaine Ross and Josephine McCutchan, I. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Alice, daughter, Denise (Dr. Edward) Rosenbaum, and son, Blaine, II (Rita), six grandchildren and their spouses, two great granddaughters, and two brothers and two sisters.
