James “Jay” Taylor Carpenter passed away June 24, 2007. Jay was born Aug. 14, 1958 and was the son of Carol and Warren D. Carpenter and the grandson of Maud Hill (Smith) and Taylor Palmer.

Jennifer Lisman Bunich, 36, of Charlotte, North Carolina died at Carolinas Medical Center on February 4, 2008 after a brief illness. She is the daughter of Don and Marilyn Lisman of Charlotte, NC, and the granddaughter of Arad and Virginia McCutchan of Evansville, Indiana and Boyd and Martha Lisman of Monroe City. She and her husband, Boris Bunich, were married in 2004 and have a two-year-old daughter, Claire.

Mr. Jerry Eugene McCutchen, age 72, of West Memphis, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, at Beverly Health Care in West Memphis. Mr. McCutchen was a retired electrician, a 32nd Degree Mason member of West Memphis Lodge 737 and Marion Lodge 686 and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Beauton McCutchen of West Memphis; three daughters, Charlotte Comfort of West Memphis, Melodie Roedel of Newburgh, Ind. and Hope Carroll of Paradise, Ind.; one son, Jim McCutchen of West Memphis; one sister, Mildred Arwood of Forrest City; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

John Beverly Daniel, 81, of Augusta Springs, VA, died Friday, June 17, 2005. He was born Dec. 18, 1923 in Craigsville, VA, the son of the late Noel Anderson Daniel and Margaret Tuttle Daniel.
Mr. Daniel was a Ford Mercury dealer and had been in the automobile business all his life. He owned dealerships in Hot Springs, Craigsville, and Staunton. He was a graduate of Augusta Military Academy and the University of Virginia; a Veteran of the United States Army Air Corp, having served during WWII as a pilot.

John T. McCutcheon Jr. died in his sleep at home in Saluda, NC on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008. He was surrounded by his children and his caregivers, as well as his two dogs.

Joseph Hanger Lucas, 88, of Fairfield, VA, died Saturday, July 2, 2005 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington, VA. Born in Decatur on April 25, 1917, he was a son of the late Thomas Julian Lucas and Mary Blair Paxton Lucas.
