Luther Eugene Clinton

Luther Eugene Clinton, 80 of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away Friday, November 30, 2007 in St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. He was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Lake City Pentecostal Church in Lake City, AR.

Mr. Clinton had been a machine operator when he lived in St. Louis, Missouri in the 1960's. When he moved to Centerpoint, Louisiana, he worked as an off-shore cook working out of Intercostal City, Louisiana in the early 1960's and early 1980's. In the late 1980's until the early 1990's he worked as a security guard in Jonesboro, Arkansas until he retired.

On March 12, 1953, he married Edith Virginia Quick of Palmer, Missouri. They lived in St. Louis until their oldest child, Patricia Ann, was born, December 26,1953. They then moved briefly to Gary, Indiana and resided until their son, Richard Eugene was born December 13,1955.

Mr. Clinton is preceded in death by his parents, Luther M. Clinton and Lula Belle McCutchen of Centerpoint, Louisiana, four brothers, William, John Calvin, Fred David, and Earnest Clinton, and two sisters, Pearl and Marie. Mr. Clinton was the youngest of those children.

He is survived by his son and wife, Richard Eugene Clinton and Laurie Zimmerman of House Springs, Missouri and his daughter and her husband, Patricia Ann and Bobby Brady of Jonesboro, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Rebecca Marie Lee Bushong of Lake City, Arkansas, Shane Phillip Lee of Austin, Texas, Jennifer Leona Clinton Vatterott of House Springs, Missouri, Brandi Charlene Lee Bryan, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Amanda Michele Clinton of House Springs, Missouri and Christina Renee Mitchell of Austin, Texas and 13 great grandchildren.

Interment was in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Mr. Clinton was was a descendant of John McCutcheon, pioneer settler of Augusta County, Virginia.

Josephine McCutcheon, age 80, of Lake Dallas, Texas, passed away Sunday,
July 29, 2007. She was born on March 21, 1927 in Bristol, Texas to Willie E.
and Sadie Milton Bates. Josephine Bates and William (WA) married June 10, 1944. W.A. passed away October 10, 2001.

Survivors include son, Marion Joe McCutcheon of Lake Dallas, TX; brother, Onnie Bates of Euless, TX; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Wayne McCutcheon on January 7, 2000. Graveside services were held at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas TX.
