Betty McCutchen Wetenkamp passed away at her home in Diamondhead, MS, on April 8, 2007, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Campbell, Missouri, on Armistice Day, November 11, 1918, and grew up in Blytheville, Arkansas. Mrs. Wetenkamp attended St. Mary's Hall in Memphis and graduated from Blytheville High School. She attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.
Preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Renkert Wetenkamp; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.W. McCutchen; her sister, Sarah McCutchen Logan; and her son-in-law, Stanley Cook, Jr. Survivors include her daughters, Sally McCutchen Cook and Elizabeth Renkert Wetenkamp; two grandchildren, Sarah Cook Leavins and Miles Stanley Cook III; two great-grandchildren, Emily Hardcastle Cook and Miles Stanley Cook IV; her nephew, Richard Logan and his wife Lynne. Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville, AR.
Betty was a descendant of John McCutchen of Alabama.
